A bumper transfer deadline day has seen Norwich City make three signings to bolster the squad, with the bulk of the new Championship season still to play.
Defender Andrew Omobamidele, a product of the club's academy system, has left Carrow Road and now has another chance at Premier League Football at Nottingham Forest.
In return, Norwich have signed Forest forward Ui-jo Hwang for the rest of the season.
Centre-back Danny Batth joins from Sunderland, while forward Daniel Ogwuru makes the move from Manchester City.
Academy midfielder Flynn Clarke joins lower-league team Dagenham and Redbridge on loan.
OUT: Andrew Omobamidele (to Nottingham Forest)
Norwich City's youngest ever captain has penned a permanent deal with Nottingham Forest, meaning he's returning to the Premier League.
Omobamidele came through the club's academy system, having first played with Irish team Leixlip United.
He made his first team debut at the age of 18 and went on to make 55 appearances across all competitions for Norwich, scoring twice.
Sporting director Stuart Webber said: “This is a deal that comes at the right time for all parties. Andrew is a player with an enormous amount of potential. We're really proud of the work that both Andrew himself and our academy and first-team coaching staff have put in to help get him to this stage.
"To have been part of our title-winning squad and have captained the side at such a young age is testament to his character and work ethic."
IN: Ui-jo Hwang (from Nottingham Forest)
Seasoned South Korea international Hwang has 56 caps for his home country, scoring 17 times for the Tigers of Asia in competitions including the World Cup.
The forward joins on a season long loan. giving the Canaries another option up front in the absence of injured Josh Sargent.
He began his senior career with Seongnam FC, before a spells with Bordeaux in France's Ligue 1.
The 31 year old joined Forest last year and has since enjoyed loan spells with Olympiacos and FC Seoul.
On the signing, Hwang said: "I am very excited. I want to help the team as much as I can. I can't wait to play.
"I spoke with the coach and I heard good things from him. They are pressing high a lot, and the forwards link the play, it's about hard-working and togetherness."
Head coach David Wagner said: “We had to be patient, but we are very happy that we can now welcome Hwang to our squad.
“We wanted to give our group another option in the attacking areas following the injury to Josh (Sargent), so it makes us all very happy that we could find this solution."
IN: Danny Batth (from Sunderland)
Batth was named player of the year for the Black Cats following last season in the Championship.
The 32 year old centre-back has penned a one year deal, with the option of a further year at Carrow Road.
Batth started with Wolves, featuring over 200 times in all competitions for the club. He enjoyed loan spells at Colchester United, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday before permanent moves to Stoke and Sunderland.
Speaking on the move, Batth said: "When the opportunity came up and I heard of the interest from Norwich, it was one that I couldn't turn down. I'm really excited about what's coming up and the new challenge ahead.
"I've spoken to Stuart and have seen how well the club have started. I feel excited to be part of the club.
"I am whole-hearted and committed. I'm an experienced player now so I can add that to the group and have a really positive effect both on and off the pitch."
IN: Daniel Ogwuru (from Manchester City)
18 year old forward Ogwuru has signed a long term-deal at Carrow Road and will initially link up with the academy side.
The former Bolton Wanderers youngster has been with Man City since the age of 14 and was part of the side that won the Under-18 Premier League in 21/22.
Making the move to the Norwich City, Ogwuru said: "It feels great to sign for the club. When the project was presented to me, I felt like it was a great opportunity.
"The facilities here at the Lotus Training Centre are amazing, it really looks like a place where I can develop myself.
"At Manchester City you learn a lot of football education, you understand the game better."
OUT: Flynn Clarke (to Dagenham and Redbridge)
20 year old Academy midfielder Clarke is set for a season in the National League, having established himself as a regular in the Norwich under-21s setup.
He joined the Canaries from hometown club Peterborough United in 2021. He has also spent time on loan at Walsall and with the Scotland under-21s, scoring on debut against Northern Ireland
