A youth charity working in Norfolk is telling us children need to be better educated on e-safety- as a matter of urgency.

Following official figures showing that nearly 35% of 10 to 15 year olds were bullied face to face in the last year. With over 19% young people facing this online.

"Funding is always a big one as well"

Dan is from MAP Norfolk

"It is an issue that we're seeing more of in schools, but we're also seeing more of it online as it's more accessible online for other young people to be able to say hurtful things.

"More education of e-safety would be great. Having the presence of somebody like the Police in schools who could provide impartial advice on what bullying is would be welcomed as well. Funding is always a big one as well".

"I do encourage young people to have time away from their devices"

Steph is also from the charity:

"Schools that we work in are really proactive in responding to bullying when it happens. Some of the schools have Police in them and we've had officers working with our local 'on the beat' officers who have spoken to some of the children we help about how they use their phones".

"We talk about the use of phones and technology and I do encourage young people to have time away from their devices, especially in the evenings, as rest is so important".
