Testing 'a key part' of keeping children safe at school, says Norfolk leader
Andrew Proctor says the council is working closely with schools
Testing at schools is a key part of keeping children safe, Norfolk's council leader says.
Leader of Norfolk County Council, Andrew Proctor says school bosses have worked hard to make sure children can return to the classroom safely.
He's urging parents to make sure their children are being tested to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
He says lots of measures have been put in place:
"I think the most important thing, is the testing, the wearing of facemasks, the classroom bubble and limiting contact as much as possible.
"It's all about keeping people as safe as you possibly can.
"We've supported schools the best we can. We've supported schools in what they've decided to do, especially in testing, in how they have set up the programmes and work with them."
He made the comments as part of our Leaders in Lockdown interview, where we put your questions to the council leader.
