A pub-owner in Norfolk is telling us that those taking part in Dry January should experiment with new drinks to keep it fun and fresh
It's as the first week of this challenge where people try to entirely cut out alcohol for a month, after Christmas celebrations- comes to an end
"It's a social thing as much as a beer thing"
Emma Byrne, helps run The Leopard in Norwich:
"To keep no and low alcohol attractive, it would should be about finding those sour stouts, those fruit beers and pales. They really aren't boring drinks. People should see this month as "try-uary"
"The impact really isn't that big on pubs, maybe one less pint per person and that's it. But by making sure we have a good array of now and low alcohol drinks, people still want to be at the pub. It's a social thing as much as a beer thing.
"The say the bad weather always puts some people off from going to the pub. But if somebody has a favourite that is warm and cosy, many still come out. After all people still want to their friends, even in the darkest of months"
