A foodbank in Norfolk is telling us they've been collecting Easter eggs for those in need- but admit that overall donations have gone down a little, recently.

While figures from Norwich Foodbank shows they've fed nearly 2,300 people so far this year. A fall of 28 on the numbers recorded during the same period, last year.

"It can really brighten somebody's day"

Hannah Worsley is project manager there:

"At certain times of the year, when funds or donations allow, it can really brighten somebody's day. Life is a bit rubbish at the moment and if you're coming to a foodbank for help it means that things are tough. So to give somebody a parcel to get them through the next few days and he's an extra treat, makes a big difference".

"I'm very conscious about making sure that adults and children can have those treats. We often hear from families that they have had to go without food to ensure that their children can eat something. That makes the treats extra important and it's been great to collect them in.

"We're looking for key ingredients"

"Donations have gone down a bit because people are struggling themselves, quite understandably. So we're looking for key ingredients like individual cereal portions, tinned puddings and meat, long life fruit juice and long-life milk"

"We are conscious as we come to the summer months, (which is usually our quietest time for donations), what we are going to do about that and how are we going to keep helping people. We are also committed to helping people beyond the food. It's not just about food, it's also about helping people with things like energy".
