Norfolk's FA say they need to "identify remaining gaps" to ensure any woman can play the game
The Lionesses take on Spain in the World Cup final this Sunday
Norfolk's Football Association is telling us they need to "identify remaining gaps" to ensure any woman in the county can play the game.
It comes as England's date with destiny edges ever closer - as the Lionesses take on Spain in Australia in the World Cup final this Sunday.
"50, 60 and 70 year-old women can play the game in some capacity"
She told us what they're doing now:
"We are doing quite a lot of work to make sure that there are opportunities for girls and women of all ages.
"So, right from grassroots, 5 year-olds upwards to adults football. 50, 60 and 70 year-old women can play the game in some capacity."
"I think they definitely can do it"
Anna's feeling optimistic about the Lionesses' chances:
"I think they definitely can do it, obviously Spain are going to be a really strong side.
"They have got some really fantastic individuals, England will have it tough to try and keep them quiet. But I think they did that brilliantly against Australia.
"If I'm pushed for a prediction I would have to say 2-1 England.
"There have been so many favourites that have slipped up and left the tournament earlier than they expected to.
"It's always a worry that on the big stage teams don't always perform to the best of their abilities."
""We are seeing it, week in week out"
Whatever happens on Sunday, she says they've already created a lasting legacy
"We are seeing it, week in week out, the amount of new players coming into the game, who are looking for opportunities.
"There are also players who return to the game, that had stopped playing for any reason. Whether they win or lose on Sunday that will continue."
