Norfolk drunk driver caught running red light - as police sit in the same traffic
He was arrested after blowing almost twice the legal limit
A drunk driver in Horsford was caught after running a red light - with police sitting in the same traffic.
The man in his 60's was pulled over last Thursday night (10th August), after officers saw a vehicle go through a red traffic light on Holt Road, Horsford.
He was subsequently arrested for drink driving after blowing 66 units at the roadside- almost double the limit.
The driver appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court the following morning (11th August 2023), and pleaded guilty to the offence.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined ÂŁ500, with an order to pay an additional ÂŁ305 in court and victim charges.
