Data from Public Health England shows that case numbers in Norfolk are at their lowest since October last year.

In the seven days to the 23rd February, there were 688 cases in the county.

The rate of infection is 75.8 per hundred thousand people, that remains well below the national average.

It's the lowest number of cases and rate of infection in the county since the week to the 19th October 2020.

It's a different picture in Fenland though where cases have been on the rise in the seven days to the 23rd February.

Cases in Fenland went up by over 13% on the week before, with the rate of infection remaining well above the national average.

It sits at 226.8 per hundred thousand people at the moment.

The R rate in the East, which shows how fast the virus is growing, is currently between 0.6 and 0.8.

Anything below 1 means cases are continuing to fall.
