A couple from Haddiscoe are setting off on a 1,000 mile walk later this month - to raise funds for Diabetes UK.

Lisa and Marcus Sutton decided to walk from Lands End to John O'Groats after Lisa was diagnosed with Diabetes at the age of 54.

The walk starts on Tuesday, 23rd April and will finish on July 17th.

"I can't imagine how emotional it's going to be"

We spoke to Lisa ahead of the challenge:

"There's no cure for diabetes, so all I can do is manage the condition. Hopefully by raising money for charities like Diabetes UK and funding research, one day there'll be a cure and things that make it easier to manage it day to day."

"When you look at the map and think we walked all of that, while raising money for Diabetes UK and managing my own diabetes- I can't imagine how emotional it's going to be when we finish it".

The couple have raised more than £1,600 so far.
