Norwich has been ranked the 6th best place in the UK for a night out - being praised for its safety and the number of bars and clubs on offer.

Get Licenced also looked at factors including the average cost of a pint and the number of people who fear being mugged while out.

Norwich was ranked the 3rd safest city in the entire country, with relatively low proportions of people worried about crime.

The city has 31 clubs or bars per 100,000 people, with 99 pubs per 100,000.

The average cost of a pint is £5.68.

Newcastle upon Tyne was ranked as the best place to go out in the UK. Norwich ranked between Edinburgh and Cambridge.

London was dubbed the worst night in the UK due to high prices and worries about crime.
