Norfolk & Waveney covid clinics plan to open today (9 February)
Snow didn't interrupt too much yesterday

GP-led clinics are scheduled to continue as planned today (9 February) to administer covid-19 vaccines.
Norfolk and Waveney is thanking volunteers, the emergency services and council teams to make sure pavements and car parks are gritted yesterday when heavy snow hit, to enable them to run as normal.
The large vaccination site at North Walsham community centre was closed early due to the snow, but other large scale vaccination centres at Castle Quarter Norwich; the Corn Exchange Kings Lynn; Connaught Hall in Attleborough; and Horsefair Shopping Centre in Wisbech remained open.
The Cambridgeshire Community Trust, which is behind the large-scale centres in our area, has confirmed the North Walsham site will reopen today.
Norfolk and Waveney CCG says people should attend their appointments if they feel safe in doing so, but please take great care on the roads and wrap-up warm.
The weather is set to remain very cold until the end of the week and the CCG is urging anyone who has concerns about travelling not to put themselves at risk.
If you used the national booking system to arrange your appointment at one of the large vaccination sites you can log back in here to cancel and re-arrange it using the 'manage your appointment' function.
If your appointment was booked for you by your GP practice, don't worry if you are unable to attend. The practice will get in touch with you as soon as they can to rearrange your appointment. There will be other slots available.
Please do try and let the surgery know if you can, but don't worry if you are unable to. The phone lines may be very busy.
The NHS will continue to use social media channels, websites and the local media to let people know of any closures or disruption to vaccination services. Please look out for updates and alerts this week.
To help the NHS help you, please follow the advice below.
The NHS know people may need to leave extra journey time because of the snow but please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible. If people arrive too early it can cause queueing which makes social distancing more difficult and may mean people waiting in the cold.
If you arrive early for your appointment please wait in your car. You could bring a blanket, a hot drink and a book or a newspaper to make your wait more comfortable.
Wrap up warm - lots of thin layers (with short sleeves as your base layer) are recommended as well as a warm winter coat, hat, gloves and scarf.
If you are unable to attend your appointment safely please don't worry - contact your surgery if you can to let us know. If you can't get through to cancel your appointment please don't worry. We will contact you to re-book your appointment in the next few days
Please follow all the usual guidelines. This means wearing a mask, keeping two metres apart from others and supporting our NHS staff to do their job by treating them with the kindness and respect they deserve.
Please don't turn up requesting a vaccine without an appointment. All vaccines are allocated to people in priority groups with pre-booked appointments and anyone attending without an appointment will be asked to leave.
