King's Lynn Stars have appointed a new team manager, with David Hoggart to take on the job previously held by Alex Brady.

He previously spent time with Stars as the club's centre-green presenter.

He is a former manager and co-promoter at Sheffield and also worked on events at British Speedway.

Speaking to the Stars website, owner Keith Chapman said: “I’ve known David for many years, he has a good reputation in the sport and lots of knowledge to bring to the table.

“I did enjoy last Monday, but it’s definitely best for the riders that they have some form of continuity of team manager after everything that’s happened in the last few weeks.

“I was delighted David accepted the position and he’ll be going straight into the role at Wolverhampton tonight.”
