King's Lynn Town interim manager Mark Hughes has now been handed the job on a permanent basis, penning a two year contract at The Walks.

The 39 year old took temporary charge following the departure of Tommy Widdrington for Aldershot Town earlier this year.

He'd previously served as first team coach under Widdrington.

Hughes had a lengthy career as a player, coming through the youth system at Tottenham before enjoying spells at Oldham, Chester, Barnet and Chelmsford.

It's his first job as a manager.

Paul Jones will work alongside Hughes as a player-coach.
