A man has been jailed for five years after being caught with Class A drugs in Norwich earlier this year.

23 year old Fadhel Asghar, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene of a raid in Sprowston on February 3.

Officers found two dinner plates containing Class A drugs, namely cocaine and heroin, as well as several hundred wraps, mobile phones and cash.

He was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court.

PC James Loftus of Norfolk Police said, “We are pleased with this sentence and take offences of this nature very seriously. Drug dealing affects families and communities and has far reaching consequences across the region.

We will continue to disrupt criminal activity in our county and hope that this sentence deters those who may wrongly believe that Norfolk is an easy target for drug dealing.”
