Man dies after van crashes into central reservation on A47

The driver was airlifted to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and has since died.

A man has died following a single vehicle collision near the A47 Saddlebow roundabout last week.

At around 3.34pm on Thursday 23 January a white Citroen Relay van, collided with the central reservation on the west bound carriageway of the A47, before coming to a stop on the Saddlebow roundabout slip road.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene including fire, ambulance and air ambulance.

The driver of the Citroen, a man aged in his 60s, was taken by air to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. He has since died.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who as any relevant dashcam footage.

Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch with police.
