Man dies after Fritton crash

Three vehicles collided in the early hours of Saturday (23 October) morning

A man has died following a crash in Fritton.

It happened in the early hours of Saturday morning at around 1:30am on the A143, near to the junction with Lound Road.

It's understood to have involved a sliver Mercedes A-Class, a Scania lorry and a Volkswagen Caddy Van.

A man in his 50s was taken to the James Paget University Hospital for treatment, but later passed away.

A 37-year-old man, was later arrested on suspicion of drink driving, drug driving and causing death by dangerous driving.

He was taken for questioning and released under investigation while enquiries continue.
