Police have charged a man with two counts of rape following an incident in Chapelfield Gardens in Norwich.
The charges relate to an incident which happened just after 11pm on Monday 10th June 2024, when a man was raped near the bandstand.
Following inquires, a man was arrested on Monday 17th June 2024 and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Idrees Jaff, aged 38, of Berners Close in Norwich, has been charged with two counts of rape of a male.
He appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday 19th June) where he was remanded into custody.
He is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 17th July.
