Man admits to driving offences after crash near King's Lynn that left three dead
He's admitted causing death by dangerous driving after the crash at North Runcton in January
A man has admitted three counts of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash near King's Lynn earlier this year that left three dead.
Police were called at around 7:40pm on January 15 to the A47 Constitution Hill in North Runcton, after a collision between a white Vauxhall Mokka and black BMW X5.
Three people in the Mokka, two aged in their 40s and one in their 20s, were pronounced dead by paramedics.
39 year old Aurelijus Cielevicius of John Street in King’s Lynn was subsequently charged.
Testing later found he had ketamine in his system, as well as other drugs.
Detective Inspector Dave McCormack, who led the investigation for Norfolk Police, said:
“Toxicology reports found traces of drugs in his blood stream and the results are consistent with the prior use of methylamphetamine, cannabis and mephedrone prior to the collision happening.
"Although ketamine was also present, this could have been administered by medical staff after the collision as part of their treatment.”
