It might be delayed, but Luminate Sandringham will still be going ahead this year.

The event on the royal estate was due to launch on the 20th of November, but because of the second lockdown it's now been rescheduled to start on the 17th of December.

Organisers say moving the event was the most 'appropriate thing to do' adding it will be a light at the end of the tunnel during lockdown.

Daniel Maycock, one of the organisers, said:

“In light of the most recent Government announcements and after consultation with all of our stakeholder partners we believe that the most responsible and appropriate way forward is to reschedule the start date of our Luminate Sandringham Event, so it will now run from Thursday 17thDecember until Sunday 17thJanuary 2021.

Our paramount consideration remains the safety and well-being of our visitors and staff and we are absolutely committed to hosting a COVID 19 secure Event across our new dates. We are disappointed not to be able to start earlier, but bearing in mind the significant build/set-up time and the continued uncertainty across the country, we believe that delaying until 17thDecember is the appropriate decision to make.”

Mr Maycock added:

“Anyone with tickets for the current run will receive an email from us with the option to either transfer their booking to a new date, or receive a full refund. We are really excited that Luminate Sandringham will now be extended to include the Christmas Holidays and the start of hopefully a much more positive New Year. We can’t wait to bring some sparkle and joy to our visitors, we hope quite literally some light at the end of the tunnel!”

Tickets for the new dates are now on sale onwww.luminatesandringham.com, where you can also find more details with regards to transferring or refunding any tickets.
