Cash is being made available to dozens of organisations across Breckland who are planning to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III later this year.

A total of 73 organisations across the district have been successful in funding bids and will receive a share of around £34,000.

The money will go towards coronation celebration events which will bring communities together to mark the historic occasion.

To mark the occasion, the council is also funding the installation of new flagpoles in nine Breckland towns and villages, as well as banners and giant screen events in each of the district's market towns.

Cllr Alison Webb, Breckland Council's Executive Member for Health & Communities, said: "It is incredibly important that the celebration of the crowning of our new King is as accessible to everybody across Breckland as possible and these events will enable residents across the district to get involved."
