Fire crews from across Norfolk were called to Great Yarmouth last night after an old pub caught fire.

Firefighters from Great Yarmout, Gorleston, Acle, Martham, Carrow, Sprowston, Wymondham, Lowestoft, and an aerial ladder platform from Great Yarmouth and Earlham were called.

Crews used main jets and hose reel jets to put out the fire on Bridge Road with the stop message coming just after 10.30pm.

An investigation is now underway and the fire service says the Haven Bridge will remain shut for 48 hours while the area is made safe.

Police had to close Bridge Road for a time to allow emergency services to attend last night.
