Their first year in the league has been far from ideal

King's Lynn Town FC is looking forward, after a less than ideal first season in the National League.

The Linnets were promoted to their highest level last summer, but it's not been the season they'd been imagining, due to fans not allowed to watch.

Mark Hurle, from the club says it's been disappointing, but they're all working towards next season when they can finally welcome fans back.

He said: "We were looking forward to seeing 3,500 fans in the stadium. So seeing it being played in an empty stadium has been disappointing.

"It's the same for the town too, because the clubs would have bought fans with them, who would have stayed in local hotels and gone into the town, so we've missed out on a lot.

"As long as we were in a good position, we'd have enjoyed every minute of it.

"It hasn't worked out , and there have been some difficult decisions that needed to take place, but we did them, and we've limped through to the finish line.

"Now it's all about looking forward, we must look forward. I think that's the key."

King's Lynn lost their Bank Holiday Monday game against Boreham Wood 5-1.
