Evie Taylor's raised £445 for The Norfolk Hospice who cared for her Grandma by kicking her ball on a string 200 times a day for 20 days.

She completed her challenge at the hospice in Hillington last week.

Evie said: "Last year my Grandma was very poorly, she had a horrible bug in her brain called cancer and she died in November last year. I love and miss my Grandma so much.

"I decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to raise money for the lovely place that looked after her.

"My Mummy visited Grandma lots of times and she told me that it was a fantastic place full of wonderful nurses and doctors and that Grandma was very well looked after."

Lyndsay Carter, Chief Executive at The Norfolk Hospice, said: "It was wonderful to meet Evie and cheer her on as she completed her kick-a-thon challenge in memory of her Grandma.

"We are very grateful to have such kind and committed fundraisers in our community who help us raise the vital funds needed to provide outstanding and compassionate end of life care."

The Norfolk Hospice says it offers free care, comfort and compassion to residents in North and West Norfolk nearing the end of their lives and provides support for family and friends.
