To mark the first anniversary of the Coronation of His Majesty, King Charles III, has announced his patronage to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (QEH).
The late Queen previously was Royal Patron to the Trust until her death in 2022.
Chris Lawrence, Trust Chair, said: “We were delighted to receive the news that His Majesty is now our Patron and we are deeply honoured that he has decided to continue the patronage of The late Queen.
“It was an honour to meet both The King and Queen last year at the Sandringham Flower Show on behalf of the hospital and our charity.
“The Patronage will be a great support in shining a light on the work our staff carry out every single day to help patients and their loved ones.”
This news follows a review of royal patronages which has been conducted following His Majesty’s accession.
Buckingham Palace released a statement which said, “Royal Patronage highlights the vital work of these organisations and allows their many achievements and valuable contributions to society to be more widely recognised and promoted.”
