Two charged after £9,000 of iPhones taken from Norwich Apple Store

Two men have been charged after around £9,000 of iPhones were stolen from the Apple Store in Norwich over the weekend.

A pair of men entered the shop in Chantry Place, taking eight handsets.

A member of the public was assaulted after trying to intervene suffering cuts and bruises to the face.

Two men were arrested in Bedfordshire yesterday (October 31) in connection with the theft.

Gheorghita Lupu, 20, of no fixed address has been charged with theft from a shop, common assault and a further charge in relation to another theft from another Apple Store.

Samuel Lacatus, age 19, of no fixed address, has been charged with theft from a shop.

Both have been remanded in custody.
