Horse dies and two seriously injured in crash along Acle Straight
Police were called to reports of a crash between a Range Rover and Renault horsebox yesterday
A horse has been killed and two people seriously injured in a crash on the A47 Acle Straight yesterday.
Officers were called to Acle New Road at around 3:45pm to reports of a collision between a black Range Rover and a red Renault Master Horsebox, which was carrying a hose.
The road was closed until shortly before 11pm.
The driver of the horsebox, a woman aged in her 40s, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital, where she remains with life threatening injuries.
The Range Rover driver, a man aged in his 20s, was taken to the James Paget Hospital having suffered serious injuries.
The passenger, a woman also aged in her 20s, suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
