Two charged following discovery of Cannabis factory in Harleston

The value of the plants found is thought to be around £770,000

Two men have been charged with drug offences following the discovery of a cannabis factory worth nearly hundreds of thousands of pounds in Harleston.

Officers raided a property in Mayflower Way, Harleston last Friday (7 June 2024) and discovered approximately 770 cannabis plants, along with heat lamps, fans and electrical transformers.

Police tell us the approximate value of the plants found was £770,000.

Two men, both in their 20s, were arrested at the scene and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

27 year old Arnold Uku, and 22 year old Anton Biba, both of no fixed address, were each charged with being concerned in the production of a class B drug, namely cannabis.

Both men appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 8 June 2024 and were remanded into custody ahead of their next court appearance at Norwich Crown Court on 8 July 2024.
