Group representing Norfolk businesses says East needs a regional Mayor
The Eastern Powerhouse says it will publish a full 'manifesto' next week
A group that represents businesses in Norfolk is calling on the next Government to create a Mayor for the East of England, who'd help bring more investment to the region.

"It makes no fiscal sense why any Government wouldn't invest in the region"
James Palmer is chair of the Eastern Powerhouse: "There are pointers from the Government's own review that was carried out by Lord Harrington from last December on how we can galvanise the region, help it to work together, invest in it appropriately and drive the region forwards."
He says bold change is needed beyond this, as well: "We need to put something in place that promotes the East internationally as a place to do business and takes advantage of the economy we have here.
