Rail passengers urged not to travel between Diss and Norwich

Rail passengers are being asked not to travel between Diss and Norwich due to a tree damaging electrical overhead wires.

Greater Anglia says train services between Liverpool Street and Norwich are subject to delays, alterations and cancellations whilst repairs take place.

Network Rail staff are on site to carry out repairs, but no timescale has been given for when they'll be done.

Greater Anglia says it's lifted ticket restrictions for affected customers, and tickets for today will be accepted tomorrow.

An hourly train service will operate in both directions between Diss and Liverpool Street until midday:

XX:17 Diss to Liverpool Street

XX:30 Liverpool Street to Diss

Crosscountry and Great Northern will be carrying Greater Anglia passengers between Cambridge and Ely.

East Midlands Railway are accepting Greater Anglia tickets between Ely and Norwich.
