One of the most recognisable names at King's Lynn Town, striker Gold Omotayo, is leaving the club.

The Linnets say after talks with management he's decided its now the right time to move on.

He was named Supporters’ Player of the Season last year. He's had 82 appearances for the club across all competitions.

Omotayo joined King’s Lynn in the 2021/22 season, quickly establishing his place in the team as a target striker.

He scored 11 in his first season with the club, including his memorable goal in the Linnet's 2-0 win over Halifax Town in March ’22.

Club Chairman Stephen Cleeve said: “We’re grateful for Gold’s contribution, he dealt with things in a very mature way."

"He always acknowledged the part this club played in helping his career move forward, and is a model professional.”
