The future of farming in Norfolk looks bright if businesses are supported with the right tech- according to some local growers.

They've been speaking with us at the county's annual show- which comes to a close this afternoon.

"The role and use of Artificial Intelligence and robotics is frankly limitless"

Will Sargent is vice chair of National Farmers Union in the county:

"Getting new technology on farm is very expensive and farmers need to be given the energy, if you like, to get things going initially so that we can push things forwards and bring in those efficiencies.

"The concern we have at the moment is that some businesses are currently slowing down or pausing investment due to on-going uncertainty".

"There could be huge cost-savings through the greater and better use of robotics and artificial intelligence. But, at the moment we don't have investment from the Government to help get this off the ground".

"The role and use of Artificial Intelligence and robotics is frankly limitless. AI could be used for things such as predicting the weather and helping select treatment for crops".
