Former Norfolk police officer faces misconduct hearing over offensive messages
Allegations include sharing discriminatory content and failing to disclose extremist views
A former Norfolk police officer will face an accelerated misconduct hearing later this month over allegations of sharing offensive messages and failing to report extremist views.
Former Police Constable Connor Rowley, who served with Norfolk Constabulary, is accused of exchanging a significant volume of digital messages containing content described as racist, antisemitic, homophobic, misogynistic, ableist, and pro-Nazi/fascist.
The alleged exchanges with a friend are said to have taken place between January 2022 and June 2025.
It is also alleged that Rowley failed to disclose his friend’s extremist views to the force during the same period.
The conduct is alleged to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in the areas of authority, respect and courtesy, equality and diversity, and discreditable conduct.
The accelerated misconduct hearing has been scheduled for Thursday 13th November 2025. It
Accelerated misconduct hearings are held to assess whether the actions of officers breach professional standards and, if so, to determine appropriate consequences. Public access to such hearings is intended to demonstrate transparency and maintain trust in the police service.
The outcome of this hearing will determine the final result of the allegations made against Connor Rowley.
