Fire at church in Harleston

Firefighters have been tackling a fire at a church in Harleston.

They were called to a fire at St John's Church on Broad Street yesterday (Wednesday 1 October 2025).

At it's height six fire appliances were in attendance and people were advised to keep windows and doors closed.

The fire service said at 22:10: "We have now scaled back our attendance at this incident but road closures will remain in place until at least midnight.

"We will also have crews at the scene throughout the night."
