A man's been charged after driving a school bus in West Norfolk while drunk.

Police were called on Wednesday afternoon (5th November) to reports the bus was being driven erratically in Terrington St Clement.

Stuart Beecham, who's 50-years-old and from Opportune Road, is due in court next month.

A Norfolk police spokesperson said, "Police were called on Wednesday afternoon (5 November 2025) to reports that a school bus was being driven erratically in the Terrington St Clement area.

"A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

"Subsequently, Stuart Beecham, 50, of Opportune Road, Wisbech has been charged with driving a motor vehicle, namely a school bus, while over the legal limit of alcohol.

"He has been bailed to appear at King’s Lynn Magistrates Court on 18 December 2025."
