Norfolk man banned from driving after drink driving lorry crash

He was breathalysed, providing a reading of 66ug - the legal limit is 35

A Norfolk man has been disqualified from driving for drink driving, after crashing into a lorry.

Linus Halton, of Oakley, Diss has been disqualified from driving for 20 months after pleading guilty at Norwich Magistrates Court yesterday (Thursday 15 December 2022).

He has also been ordered to pay a fine, court costs and a victim surcharge.

The incident occurred on Thursday 8 December 2022 at around 7.15pm when Halton, in his 50s, was travelling eastbound towards Diss on the A143.

He collided with a lorry travelling southbound on the A140 and was breathalysed at the scene, providing a reading of 66ug. The legal limit is 35.
