Cyclist injured in hit-and-run crash in Lowestoft

Police are looking for witnesses after a cyclist was knocked off his bike by a car in Lowestoft, which then drove away.

It happened between 5:45pm and 6:15pm last Tuesday (September 26) on Westwood Avenue.

The car drove onto a footpath, striking the cyclist who suffered cuts to his ganded and legs.

The driver failed to stop at the scene.

Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage of the incident is being urged to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
