Cyclist dies after crash on A140 in Norwich

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash in Norwich.

Officers were called to the A140 Farrow Road at 6.48pm yesterday (Monday 27th February).

It involved a white VW Golf and a pedal cyclist who were travelling on the north bound carriageway.

Multiple road closures were in place whilst emergency services attended the scene including ambulance.

The cyclist, a man in his 30s, died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remained this morning.
