Man charged after nearly £400 worth of alcohol stolen from Costessey shop

He's also been charged with driving whilst disqualified

A Norwich man's been charged after almost £400 worth of goods were stolen from a shop in Costessey.

Officers were called to Longwater retail park on Thursday 19 October 2023 after an incident in which £172.50 worth of alcohol was stolen from a shop.

They received additional reports of £211 worth of alcohol being stolen from the same store two days previous, on Tuesday 17 October.

William George, aged 39, of Northumberland Street, has now been charged with two counts of theft from a shop and driving whilst disqualified.

He is due to appear in Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 7 November 2023.
