The international annual conference is being held in Brazil and will run until Friday, next week
"Nature is very good at doing this cheaply"
Asher Minns is from the Tyndall Centre fro Climate Change at the University of East Anglia:
"Upgrades doesn't necessarily only mean building big concrete barriers that also means increasing salt-marshes and the like.
"Nature is very good at doing this cheaply and it also helps us with resilience in the long-term.
"We are also the bread-basket for the UK with so much of our food being grown here.
"There's so many parts of the economy which are reliant upon this region and the possible impacts of climate change".
"Creating skilled, well-paid jobs across Great Yarmouth"
Number 10 has confirmed that the Port of East Anglia in Great Yarmouth will be getting £15 million from the Government.
This money's coming as part of a wider plans to upgrade it's operation centre supporting the East Anglia TWO windfarm in the North Sea, that's worth £28 million.
The Prime Minister's also promising that this investment will support hundreds of jobs in the East Norfolk town.
Sir Keir Starmer said: "It's full speed ahead in our mission to bring about the clean power revolution - delivering energy security, getting bills down for good and generating growth in communities across the UK.
"Creating skilled, well-paid jobs across Great Yarmouth, Belfast and Greater Manchester, this is national renewal in action - championing the interests of working people all over the country.
"I won't let down future generations. At Cop30 I will continue to show UK leadership on the world stage to work with others to stand up for our values and our future."
