£292,836 of Government money is heading to Wisbech.

The Light Cinema is to receive the cash from the Culture Recovery Fund, to help it recover from the coronavirus pandemic.

A total of £1.9million has been awarded to heritage and culture across North East Cambridgeshire.

MP Steve Barclay said:

"A vibrant and creative culture and heritage sector is essential for Fenland and East Cambs. Cinemas, theatres and museums all play an important role in building strong and cohesive communities, and I know many people locally are looking forward to being able to visit them again in the future. So, it’s great to see our venues getting the support and recognition they deserve and I will continue to fight for our fair share."
