£8,000 has been awarded to four animal rescue centres in Norfolk.

The sites in Norwich, King's Lynn, Thetford and Great Yarmouth have each been surprised with £2,000 each, through the charity Support Adoption for Pets, which worked with Pets at Home to raise the cash as a Valentine's gift.

The pandemic has made fundraising particulary hard for pet centres over the past year and it's hoped the money will go a little way towards thanking them for their efforts to give animals another chance at life.

Donations totaling £550,000 were made to 278 rescue centres across the country.
