A 15-year transport plan for Norfolk aimed at cutting carbon emissions and improving local air quality will be discussed this month.
It's part of a wider commitment by the County Council to achieve net zero carbon by 2030.
The plan sets out how the authority will make sure that shorter journeys can be made by active travel, ensure vital connections with rural communities are maintained through bus services, and addresses issues with facilities particularly in rural areas.
Cllr Barry Stone, Chair of the Infrastructure and Development Select Committee and Member Champion for Carbon Neutrality 2030, said: "I want us to maintain a sharp focus on our goals and this plan is set to help us to do just that.
"I look forward to discussing the plan with fellow committee members as it sets out how we make sure that transport's impacts are minimised, how we will improve the air quality in our towns and built up areas, and how we plan to reduce carbon emissions.
"The way that people choose to travel will have a big impact on whether we achieve our ambitious targets for carbon reduction.
"We want to make sure people have a wide range of choices when making journeys for work, education and leisure.
"These options also need to be reliable, particularly for businesses, as this will help to support and grow our local economy as we look to emerge as strongly as possible from the effects of the pandemic."
It will be discussed by the council on the 14th July.
