Car stolen during burglary in Downham Market

There were two break-ins in the town yesterday (13 September)

A car is among the items stolen during two burglaries in Downham Market on the same day.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish whether the incidents which happened on Sunday (13 September) are linked.

The first burglary happened between approximately 2pm and 2.10pm when a property on Kestrel Avenue was broken into and jewellery was stolen.

In a separate incident, a property in Railway Road was broken into at approximately 5.50pm.

Suspect(s) broke into the rear of the property stealing a handbag and car keys.

A Vauxhall Tigra was then stolen from the driveway of the property.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incidents or witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to come forward.

They are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have seen two men in the Kestrel Avenue area during the times stated, who are believed to have made off in a dark coloured 4x4 vehicle.
