There are fears Norfolk could face a shortage of medical professionals and other skilled workers after the pandemic.

The County Council's Scrutiny Commitee has been looking at the possible impact of Covid-19 on the area's economy and met yesterday (18 November), to discuss the issue.

New measures are expected to be unveiled in the coming months, to encourage more young people to the county to help fill skills gaps.

Councillors are calling on more 'quality' jobs to be created in Norfolk - particularly in the care sector.

But they have commended councils across the county for coming together to support businesses and the economy.
