Norwich City win Sainz red card appeal
He was shown a straight red card for violent conduct during Wednesday's match against Middlesbrough
Norwich City have won their appeal against a red card shown to Borja Sainz during Wednesday’s Championship game against Middlesbrough.
Sainz was shown a straight red card for violent conduct during the fixture, which the Canaries lost 3-1, following an incident with Middlesbrough midfielder Jonny Howson.
Now, following an appeal, the club's confirmed the FA have rescinded the red card, with Sainz’s four-game-ban now overturned.
It means he'll be available for selection ahead of the weekend’s game against Rotherham United.
