A man's been left with a swollen lip after being assaulted by another driver while stopped at a level crossing in King's Lynn.

Police say a dispute between two drivers is believed to have started in the filter lane on Gaywood Road at around 5.40pm on Friday 7th May.

The suspect, who was driving a black Lexus, has followed the victim to Tennyson Road, where both cars have stopped due to the level crossing barriers being down.

Officers say the man has got out of his car and approached the victim before assaulting and verbally abusing him.

The victim in his 30s suffered swelling to his lip as a result.

Anyone who saw what happened or has relevant dashcam footage is asked to come forward.
