Animal rights activists charged with stealing lambs from King's estate in Sandringham

They're also accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal

Three animal rights activists have been charged with stealing lambs from the King's Estate in Sandringham earlier this year.

The trio, from a group called Animal Rising, handed themselves into police in May after releasing a video, in which the claimed to have taken the lambs to save them from slaughter.

Sarah Foy, 23, of North Street, Alfreton, Derbyshire, Rose Patterson, 34, of Homerton High Street, London, and Rosa Sharkey, 23, of Mayville Estate, London are each accused of stealing three lambs from a farm in West Newton between May 24 and 25.

They're also accused of three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and three counts of failing to record the movement of an animal.

All have been released on bail to appear at King's Lynn Magistrates' Court on September 28.
