A local African choir is performing at City Hall and at the Royal Norfolk Show to celebrate the Queen's seventy year reign.
They're performing at Norwich's 'Big Jubilee lunch' on Sunday and singing the official Commonwealth Jubilee Song, ‘A Life Lived With Grace’, among others.
"It's not just Britain but it's all the parts of the world where she plays a big part in"
Anna Mudeka is the group's director.
She told us what us we can all expect:
"We are very bright and loud. Everything is going to have an African twist in it, it's really hard to stand-still in our choir. We want people to show us how they feel through movement. We also have songs from Zimbabwe and Kenya which will be sung, along with the national anthem- all of our songs are very lively".
Ms Mudeka went on to tell us why she is full of respect for the Queen:
"She's somebody who has kept grounded in her beliefs, her culture and she's also proud to represent Britain out there. When I've seen Jubilee celebrations, of which I've witnessed a couple, it's the way that the British come together, I've never seen them do it for any other occasions".
"She's part of the Commonwealth, so for an occasion like this in Norfolk, I think it's really important that we include all elements of what the royal family means to us. It's not just Britain but it's all the parts of the world where she plays a big part in".
"Neighbours who perhaps don't talk, are suddenly lining tables on the streets and the flags are out"
She concluded by telling us that Jubilee celebrations have quite the effect on local people:
"Neighbours who perhaps don't talk, are suddenly lining tables on the streets and the flags are out. People are so happy! I wish that was every Sunday because it shows the human connection which is not usually there all the time. It means a lot to me and I love to see the joy that it brings".
