Person dies following A47 car crash

A person's died following a two car crash on the A47.

It happened around 8.40pm yesterday (Wednesday 11 December), on the southbound carriageway of the A47 between Hopton and Gorleston.

A blue Vaxuhall Astra and a white Range Rover Evoque collided.

The driver of the Range Rover, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.

The driver of the Vauxhall, a man aged in his 20s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug driving.

He has been taken in by Police for questioning.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene including fire and ambulance.

Officers want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the crash or how the cars were being driven before it happened.
