Birmingham woman charged with attempted murder after man hit by car

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a man was seriously injured, after being hit by a car in Erdington.

Police were called to Reservoir Road at just after 10pm on Friday night (8th October) and found a man with significant head injuries.

Gina Brown, of Osprey Road, Birmingham, is also charged with driving while above the drink drive limit, and failing to stop.

The 44-year-old has been remanded in custody, and is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday 11th October).

The man - aged in his 40s and who is known to her - remains in a critical condition in hospital.

In a statement, West Midlands Police added: 'We’re continuing to appeal for anyone who was passing through the Reservoir Road area at around 10pm on Friday and may have information to contact us.
